The city of Hamburg in Germany is made up of seven boroughs: Altona, Bergedorf, Eimsbüttel, Hamburg-Mitte, Hamburg-Nord, Harburg und Wandsbek, and subdivided into 104 quarters. Most of the quarters were former independent settlements.
