Cologne is a city with a complex structure, comprised of various levels. At the top level are the nine city districts: Innenstadt, Rodenkirchen, Lindenthal, Ehrenfeld, Nippes, Chorweiler, Porz, Kalk und Mülheim. Within the city districts, there are 85 quarters, which represent an even finer division. The Rhine is the longest river in Germany and flows through some of Germany’s largest cities, including Cologne.
